2019 group trips
December 29th 2019 - January 5th, 2020
Have you ever wanted to see first-hand what life is like for the people who make brand-name clothes and how lives are changed when ethical employment is an option? Are you interested in better understanding the complexities of justice issues like human trafficking or labor exploitation? Would you like to travel with a small group that is both learning about the issues as well as talking about solutions?
In partnership with the Imagine Goods Sustainable Supply Company, Intentional Tours is excited to offer this unique experience of Cambodian culture, food, and religion, while also seeing ethical fashion happen in the flesh. Imagine Goods founder, Aiyana, will take you into the market to purchase materials for their newest fashion line and then onto the social enterprise production facility where women escaping human trafficking are given training and jobs. You will also visit ancient temples, have a meal in the home of a local family, and visit the killing fields of the Khmer Rouge. Daily debriefs will provide opportunities for insight and reflection. Return home with a better understanding of the realities of poverty and inequality and how to make a lasting impact through intentional tourism and ethical fashion choices.
